A popular Silverlake spot since it’s opening in 2011, Sqirl offers light breakfast and lunch fare with an emphasis on house made jams. Opened by once pastry chef, Jessica Koslow, jams became her first endeavor. As success followed, a natural progression from her house made jams and thus Sqirl. A classic daytime cafe and deli with a marketplace and takeaway shop next door.

Primarily consisting of pastries, toasts, leafy salads, bowls, sandwiches, and heartier breakfast plates, highlights of the menu are “The Latke-Tot”, a new spin on the classic latke, aka potato pancake, served 3 ways and the “Macro Bowl” made with organic brown rice, koji sweet potato, shredded carrot & beet, sunflower sprouts, pumpkin & hemp medley, marinated kale, lemon wedge, and ginger carrot vinaigrette

Open daily from 8am-4pm, In addition to the small marketplace, Away, Rolek’s wine shop can also be found tucked away in the marketplace. A bi-monthly jam membership available for a minimum of 4 months at $72, a 2 pack of a new seasonal preserve gets sent to you.
