the spot.
Who knows what makes a restaurant become a hot spot for celebrities, but La Scala cracked the code. Though they are best known for their Chopped Salad, this Beverly Hills landmark restaurant is Italian through and through. Classic red leather banquettes anchoring the entire restaurant and a simple bar in the back create the NYC mobster vibe. Except instead of Al Capone, you’ll most likely bump into some of Hollywood’s finest.
the menu.
That simple chopped salad that has won Angelenos hearts is surprisingly the star, served with lettuce, salami, mozzarella cheese, marinated garbanzo beans and the famous Leon Dressing. Menu highlights are the “Penne Arriabata” served spicy tomato sauce, garlic, and chili pepper and the “Lobster Ravioli” served with browned butter and sage.
