Lunetta

A lot of Los Angeles has both a bit of grit and a dash of class, making most experiences in LA more than versatile. For instance, you could walk down the most rundown looking area of Los Angeles, and find something like the The Lombardi House, a magical escape from the worn in streets of Hollywood. It’s what keeps LA so interesting! The street Lunetta lives on isn’t the worsts tree in LA, but compared to the stunning aesthetic of the restaurant, it seems like night and day.

The restaurant is split into two separate restaurants, side by side. The “day-time” side has a ton of natural light, with the same design concept as the dinner side, but in contrasting versions. Both have wall length leather banquets, and small round tables to accommodate additional seating. The color scheme for the dinner restaurant is dark blue walls with tan brown leather banquettes, while the brunch side has black banquettes with an off white wall color. The day side has a small patio and both are absolutely stunning.

Lunetta’s full name is “Lunetta All Day”, meaning they’re virtually open for every service you could want; breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and happy hour. Not every restaurant can thrive in such versatility but Lunetta does it with class, ease, and really delicious menus! The decor is stunning, making it the perfect setting for any occasion.

The location of Lunetta is technically Santa Monica, but the street address is on Pico, and if you’re familiar with that area, you already know Pico can be the ‘gritty’ party of the beautiful, peaceful town of Santa Monica. That’s why finding Lunetta tucked away, behind the massive Rite Aid sitting next to it is so surprising. But as soon as you’ve passed the oversized drug store to make your way into the building, it’s like you’ve been whisked away to the most picturesque, romantic restaurant.

The menu is delicious and the service is wonderful. Happy hour is from 4-6:30pm, Monday through Friday on the dinner side, with fireplace seating available. The best part about the whole setup? There’s a GIANT parking lot behind it. WHAT?! In the city of Los Angeles, parking spots are a coveted thing, so finding a cool restaurant with all it’s versatility AND not having to worry about finding parking is a huge win for promoting that slow life in this fast city!
