The Spot.

After the success of his first Toluca Lake project, Sweetsalt, chef Alex Eusebio opened Cascabel, a hidden Mexican cantina in a 1920’s spanish style house. The restaurant itself is a work of art with cathedral ceilings and exposed beams, ornately designed fireplace, and stunning arched stained glass windows. Enjoy the eclectic art and vibrant colored furniture inside or the intimate simplicity of the small patio dining.

The Menu.

The menu boasts of Eusebio’s latin and spanish cooking, through the lens of the widely multicultural demographic of LA. Highlights include:

Fuego Verde Cocktail- Made with tequila blanco, lime, pineapple, jalaepño, agave, and tajin.

Paloma Oaxaqueña Cocktail- Made with mezcal joven, grapefruit, Aperol, lime, tajin, and agave.

Duck Confit Enfrijolada - Served with spicy black bean purée, goat cheese, and pickled red onion.

Mexican Cornbread -Braised beef short rib, served with pico de gallo, cornbread, tarragon, and avocado salsa verde.
