The Spot.

Opened by the same owners of upscale robata spot Taisho, which also sits directly across Casita on Ventura Blvd, a notable investor in the restaurant is music producer/recording artist Anderson Paak. The interior has equal parts instagram influencer and Tulum vacation, with greenery hanging from the ceilings and rattan light fixtures accompanying them. Try the flaming cheese for the experience, served in flames table side. Happy Hour daily from 5pm-6:30pm at the bar only.

 

The Menu.

Only serving brunch on Saturday and Sunday, the brunch menu is simple and to the point with 6 options and a handful of specialty cocktail options. The dinner menu is much bigger, separated by raw appetizers, small plates, tacos, and large plates. Brunch and Dinner highlights include:

Huevos Rancheros - served with 2 runny eggs, black beans, avocado, tostada, salsa ranchero, salsa verde, and queso fresco.

Lemon Pancakes - made with lemon batter and sweet lemon curd

Rib Eye Tacos - served with Oaxaca cheese, caramelized onion, and roasted jalapeño

Lobster Bomba Rice - served with coconut, lime, and chile butter
