the spot.
Cafe, bakery, bar, bistro, french plates, stunning interior design, and a communal table to pull it all together, This not so hidden gem in the middle of the very center of LA was built in 1928 by Charlie Chaplin as a mix-use space with shops on the ground floor and offices on the second. After a few iterations of restaurant spaces, Republique took over in 2013, now bringing the community its versatile offerings.
the menu.
With a modern take on French plates, the dinner menu highlights dishes like the black périgord truffle risotto, served with himalayan morel mushrooms and gli aironi carnaroli rice, and the campanelle pasta, served with maine lobster, meyer lemon, and basil.
