Not a lot of good came out of the pandemic, but Carla Cafe was most definitely one of them. It all started with an Instagram post of a sandwich Avi Ahdoot had made for his girlfriend in May 2020. With stay at home orders in full swing, people at home on their phones with no new restaurants to check out, the picture went viral instantly and with no restaurant experience at all, Avi went from selling sandwiches to friends from his house, to opening up this brick and mortar on 3rd street in the heart of Beverly Grove.

What started as DMing your order has now branched out to online ordering via website, fulfilled at the restaurant for pickup. Everything can be customized with their offerings of salads, sandwiches and wraps. You’ll find the classic “Tuna Chop” served with your choice of protein, avocado, chopped salad lettuce, tomato, red onion, cucumber, garbanzo beans, pepperoncini, jalapeño, red wine vinaigrette, yellow mustard, and garlic-basil aioli. A few treats like French toast sticks and their Carla Cream Cap iced drinks are in the mix as well.

Open 7am-4pm daily, the brick and mortar location is a charming spot to sit down and enjoy, however most patrons utilize the counter pickup option.
