Dune has quickly become known for the best falafel in the city, along with the creative take on Mediterranean fare. Everything at Dune is made in-house, sourced with the freshest organic ingredients from local farmers and small producers. One of two locations, Owners Scott Zwiezen and Anne O'Malley have since opened in DTLA as well. With hearty salads, gourmet sandwiches, and plates that all mostly include their signature lightly charred flatbread lightly charred flatbread, Dune has been an Atwater staple since 2015.

The menu is mainly made up of sandwiches and plates, with a few salads and sides. Signature dishes include their fried chicken “Shawarma” sandwich, made with their house flatbread, free range fried chicken, dill pickles, radishes, seasonal greens & herbs, spicy tahini, and charmoula, and their Meze plate, served with falafel and your choice of either grilled chicken, fried chicken, or lamb, house flatbread, pickled turnips & radishes, marinated cabbage & onions, pickled mild pepper, seasonal greens & herbs, black olives, and sumac dill rice.
