The Spot.

YESS Restaurant, led by Chef Junya Yamasaki, has created a modern Japanese dining experience highlighting Southern California's natural beauty. The restaurant sources the highest quality of seasonal ingredients, honoring them with traditional techniques. Located in a historic 1920s bank in the Arts District of Los Angeles, their kitchen features a wood-fired stove and charcoal grill.

The Menu.

Japanese natural wines sake and shochu, with Izakaya-style a la carte menu available. Menu highlights include:

Confit Black Cod Salad - Confit seremoni grade black cod, served with tamai from cherry tomato, Weiser farm potato, and Sheer Rock Farm wild marjoram.

Grilled Beef Tenderloin & Cherry - Char-grilled pasture raised beef tenderloin, served with cherry, new season onion, and fresh half moon bay wasabi.

Grilled Morel and Asparagus - Char-grilled California Morel mushroom and Asparagus.

Crispy Scale Rockfish, Clam, and Broccoli Sauce - Charred crispy scaled Vermillion Rockfish, Little Neck Clam, Broccolini, and dashi.
